Flood

803 houses in Minot are underwater :(
My brother has water seven feet up from the ground at his house. At this point they're waiting to find out if it is salvagable or if it will be demolished :(

There are 4,000 evacuees in Minot. Of those, only 250 are in the emergency shelters. All the rest are staying with family, friends and in campers and motor homes. The streets on the hill I live on are lined with cars and campers and the garages are stuffed to the rafters with household belongings of flood victims.
I'm thinking about opening a used appliance store in my garage. I have 4 freezers full of food, an extra frig and two sets of washers and dryers out there.

The spirit of the people is amazing!! Friends and family helping each other and total strangers lending a hand. It's heartwarming to see and I'm very thankful to live here.

If you feel like selling off a fridge in the future, I would be a taker if it's in good condition. We need a beer/pop fridge for the garage. :)

I love hearing about the generous, loving spirit in Minot. I remember how nice everyone was there. Prayers continue for thoose I know and for those I don't know.

Thanks guys.
Shylah, I'll tell my brother. Looks like he's going to be starting all over. He may want to sell his. I'm loving having it in the garage for pop and beer.
