Finally

I downloaded the pictures from my camera last night for the first time since the beginning of the year. Yeah, I know, right?

This picture was taken at Deb & Jennifer's birthday party in February. I made my famous carrot cake with orange marmalade cream cheese frosting. I was looking at the pictures this morning and the picture of that cake seriously made me drool!

Mother's Day Flowers

I got a bouquet of flowers from Sarah and Allan for Mother's Day on Friday. I took them out of the box and they appeared to be completely dead. The instructions from Proflowers said to put them in water along with a packet of stuff they sent and that they'd be fine the next day. I didn't believe it.

Saturday they still looked dead. Sunday they started to come out of the funk and today they are just gorgeous!

Accreditation

There was a man from the state accreditation board visiting the nursing home my 102 year old grandmother is at. He asked her how she was doing and if she liked it there. She told him, "It's none of your damn business!"
Later in the day as she was sitting at dinner, drinking milk from a carton he came up and asked her if she always drinks her milk like that. She said, "Just leave me alone, I don't like you!"
The nurses were thrilled and said she was their hero for the day :)

Brooks & Dunn

I bought tickets this morning to see Brooks & Dunn, Darius Rucker, Eric Church and Sugarland at the fair in July for Allison, Sarah and I. Can't wait!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!!

It's rainy and dreary here today and the winds are supposed to gust up to 50MPH! What a lovely day! (NOT!)
The good news is that I had my carpets cleaned yesterday and they are dry and looking beautiful. The bad news is that the rest of the house needs to be cleaned.
