So I thought I'd go the waxing route on my chin this morning. It didn't work. At. All.
Not only did I have to use the tweezers to remove the hairs the wax didn't remove, I needed to use it to remove all the little bits of wax that were left on my chin. UGH!

The Continuing Saga of the Destructo-Dog
My Mother stayed with Stella while I was in Cleveland. At night, she put her partial plate on the bathroom counter. Stella jumped onto the counter and stole it. She hid under my bed and chewed it to smithereens! Bad dog!

Destruco Dog
The Dog That Started It All
Two years ago, I went to Cleveland to visit my friend Sharon and her family and met their dog, Shadow. I instantly fell in love with her and within 48 hours after I got home, I had contacted her breeder and bought Stella.
Amazingly, they have different parents but Sharon and I are convinced that because of their markings, they have to be cousins or similarly related. Shadow is such a calm, well behaved dog. If Gianna tells her to stay, she stays. Even on a toy car. She does what she's told, plain and simple.
Stella? Not so much :)

Yipppe Aye Oh!!
I'm leaving for Cleveland early Wednesday morning!! I didn't even mind doing my laundry in preparation for my trip today and you know how much I hate laundry!! :)
I talked to Sharon today and she reminded me that it's been 2 years since we've seen each other. No wonder I miss her so much!! I sure hope we don't let it get that long between visits again.

Beef...
They Call Me Tator...
Tator salad :)
Allison decided to grill brats and burgers tomorrow for Father's Day. I volunteered to make Easy Baked Beans and to whip up a batch of potato salad. Yeah, right! Whip... that's a joke!
When you start out with 5 pounds of potatoes and 10 eggs, there ain't no whipping going on! It just took me two hours to make this potato salad.
I did get some chores done during the break I took while dicing the potatoes but still! Two hours??!!
Guess the Easy Baked Beans I make tomorrow won't be any quicker.
Easy Baked Beans
1 pound bacon, chopped
1 pound hamburger
2 medium onions, diced
2-15 oz. cans pork & beans
2-15 oz. cans garbanzo beans, drained
2-15 oz. cans lima beans, drained
2 Tbsp. molasses
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. vinegar
* Fry bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towel, reserving 1 Tbsp. grease. Fry onion in reserved bacon grease until golden brown. Brown hamburger. Add salt and pepper. Drain. Combine with remaining ingredients in covered casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.

Scratch that...
yeah, the lucky day thing. I met Allison for lunch today and she gave me a bag full of my containers that she had at her house. As I was bringing them into the house, the bottom broke open and my small Pampered Chef Batter Bowl dropped on the garage floor and shattered into a gazillion pieces. Damn, I'm gonna miss that thing :(
Score!
When I need cash, I occasionally go through the drive up window at my Credit Union. They put the cash in an envelope and I remove the money and stuff the envelope in a cubby. This morning, while going through the cubby looking for an XM pamphlet, I found a bunch of empty CU envelopes. On my way to the trash can to toss them, I happened to look down and notice a fifty dollar bill in one of them! It must be my lucky day!
God knows, I need a lucky day!
You can bet I'll be checking those envelopes a little closer from now on.

My Hair Is Falling, My Hair Is Falling!
As in out. Typically 5-6 months after a bad or prolonged flare-up, my hair starts falling out. Fortunately, I was blessed with thick hair so it's usually not noticeable to other people. However, unless it stops any time soon, it will become noticeable. My bathroom's been covered with hair for about 3-4 weeks now and Janice commented on it last time she cut it. The sixty-four dollar question is, when is it going to stop?? Am I going to be bald by August or sooner?? I look dreadful in hats :(

PJ Day
It's still raining so I've declared it Jammies Day.
I'm going to stay home all day in my pajamas. I love my pajamas :)

Rain, Rain, Go Away!
It's been cold and rainy all weekend. UGH! I shouldn't complain, some parts of the state had snow on the ground yesterday. HELLO, it's JUNE!!

PSA
The next time you're at the grocery store and go down the baking aisle and see a bag of pea-sized Kraft caramels, do NOT be tempted to buy them and add them to your chocolate chip cookie recipe. Just walk right on by.
And if you decide to ignore my warning, make sure you cool the cookies before attempting to remove them from the pan. Also be prepared to scrape the ooey, gooey caramel off the spatula after every three cookies and have fun getting it off your cookie sheets.
And don't make a huge batch of 8 dozen cookies.
As far as the taste? Ehh, not good enough to go through that again.
Don't say you haven't been warned!

Cleveland!
I booked a trip to Cleveland yesterday and although I won't be seeing Drew Carey, even better, I'll be seeing my dear friend, Sharon :)

12:54 PM
Besides the sheets, I washed, dried and put away 5 loads of clothes. I also cleaned, chopped and stir fried the ingredients for a lovely beef stir fried lunch. It wasn't the Lilac Blossom's tangerine beef but good nonetheless. My dishes are all washed, dried and put away and I think I'm about ready to sit on my tired ass :)
7:50 AM
I'm up, made breakfast and did my dishes. I read the paper. I washed and dried my sheets and put them back on the bed. The whites are in the dryer and the towels are in the washer. I've got three more loads of laundry to do and then my chores for the day are done. There's something on the insane side of this when you have nothing else to do. I hate that in my old age, I can't sleep in and do my laundry later in the day. Yep, just call me insane! Ack!
